The Central Highlands Provinces Attracting Investment Capital Double the Previous Year

According to the Steering Committee of the Central Highlands, the Central Highlands provinces are increasingly attracting many investors to build production and business establishments, contributing to promoting economic and social development.

Investment in Vietnam - Only in 2017, the Central Highlands provinces have attracted 235 investment projects of domestic investors with a total registered capital of VND 103,357 billion, up nearly 203 percent against 2016 and nine foreign direct investment projects (FDI), with a total capital of nearly US$ 110 million.

Lam Dong, Dak Lak, Gia Lai are provinces attracting many domestic and foreign investors to carry out projects to build production and business establishments in the area.

In Dak Lak alone, in 2017, 75 projects have been granted decision on investment policy, with a total registered capital of nearly VND 4,000 billion, increasing by 17.19% and 2.46 times compared to total registered capital.

The investment promotion of the Central Highlands provinces has been renovated, not only organizing conferences, editing investment promotion documents, publicizing and releasing the projects on the portal, but the Department of Planning and Investment of the provinces also strives to improve the investment and business environment, especially the behavior of the government machinery, reform of the administrative procedures with the aim of creating confidence for investors, businesses.

The Central Highland provinces have also publicly disclosed the preferential policies on land rent, water surface rent, corporate income tax, incentives for agriculture and rural areas.

Specifically, in Dak Lak, for districts, towns and provinces applied policy of land rental exemption during the period of basic construction, it will be exempt from 11 years or more in the next period.

In Buon Ma Thuot city, land rental is exempted in the period of basic construction, and 7 years or more in the next construction period (depending on the investment field).

In districts and towns, the enterprise income tax shall be exempted for 4 years and reduced by 50% for the following 9 years after the taxable income is generated.

The Central Highlands provinces also attach importance to the planning of transport infrastructure, industrial parks, information, telecommunications, electricity, water, available land funds ... to create favorable conditions for investors and businesses.
