Promote public-private partnership in infrastructure development

As reported by the Ministry of Planning and Investment, Japan has invested in Vietnam 3,551 projects, total registered capital reached US$ 46.3 billion, accounting for 14.7% of the number of projects and registered FDI capital in Vietnam with the presence of many big names such as Honda, Misubisi, Toyota ...

Along with economic growth, Vietnam is also attractive to Japanese investors because of its geographical location in the heart of ASEAN region, favorable business environment, abundant and hard working workforce. The political and cultural environment of Vietnam is similar to that of Japan.

In addition, Japanese investors also said that Vietnam is integrating deeply with the regional and world economy through bilateral and multilateral FTAs.

Along with that, the Government of Vietnam is also focusing on improving the legal framework, facilitating the promotion of public-private partnerships (PPP) in infrastructure development.

According to Minister of Planning and Investment Nguyen Chi Dung, the Government of Vietnam pledges to continue to prioritize and create favorable conditions for Japanese investors to participate in the equitisation of SOEs and to become strategic partners of Vietnam.

At the same time, Vietnam also encourages Japanese enterprises to invest through venture capital funds, exchanging information, sharing experiences and connecting Vietnamese enterprises to the global market; It is hoped that investment funds and Japanese enterprises will invest in projects in operation or propose investment in projects in the field of infrastructure development, logistics ...
