Recently, in Bac Kan city, before the presence of Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc, leaders of Bac Kan province awarded certificate of investment commitment with total committed capital of nearly VND 7,600 billion and handed over investment decision for 10 projects with the capital of VND 1,000 billion.

Speaking at the conference, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc expressed the impression to hundreds of investors who did surmount difficulty to go to the Northeast mountainous province.

The PM expressed his pleasure at some successes in the development process of Bac Kan province. Particularly, in the direction, the province has many policies and measures to make breakthrough. Namely, the province has itself organized large-scale investment promotion conference as today.

In front of hundreds of investors, the Prime Minister happily shared and introduced to investors the potential, strengths and opportunities to invest in Bac Kan.

Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc commented that Bac Kan had great potential for developing mining and processing industries for minerals and construction materials with large deposits of lead, zinc and iron.

In addition, the potential for tourism development is also great with a tourist center as Ba Be Lake, with many spectacular caves, ethnic villages with special cultural characteristics; Many nature's specialties with special flavor of Viet Bac mountain and forest such as seedless pink, pear, orange, tangerine ...

However, the PM also noted that the province should continue to improve the provincial competitiveness index (PCI) as Bac Kan's PCI is still low. "The province needs to accelerate administrative reform and improve the business environment. The province needs to find a number of enterprises with financial ability and high determination to promote investment. Bac Kan needs to have a plan to redistribute population in improving investment efficiency, especially promoting the idea of a centralized education model, "the PM said.

For business, the PM hoped "Saying goes as a pair with action". "We definitely say no to investors who do not contribute to the economy and welfare of the local people, but mainly exploit, destroy resources, causing environmental pollution while not bring benefit for the local and community. "

On the side of the Government, the Prime Minister emphasized that the Government comprehended Bac Kan's difficulties and would create conditions for Bac Kan in terms of mechanisms and policies, especially soon implementing Cho Moi - Bac Kan City Expressway.
