$ 77.6 Million of FDI Capital Poured into Real Estate

According to the Foreign Investment Agency (MPI), in January alone, $ 77.6 million of foreign direct investment capital (FDI) poured into the real estate sector.

Investment in Vietnam - In 2017, total foreign investment capital, including newly registered, increased and contributed capital of foreign investors to the real estate sector ranked third with $ 3.05 billion. Accumulated until the end of January, foreign capital poured into the real estate market in Vietnam is more than 53 billion dollars.

Estimated by Colliers International Real Estate Services Company, in 2017, M & A deals in real estate in Vietnam reached over $ 8 billion. Most of the transactions took place in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, focusing on the "big giants" in the field of real estate such as Sun Group, Vingroup, Phat Dat, An Gia, Novaland, and so on.

Most of the foreign capital invested in the real estate sector in the past three years has mainly come from countries and territories such as Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan, and South Korea, the most attractive in the merger and acquisition market.

In addition to real estate, according to the Foreign Investment Department, the sector most invested by foreign investors in January was the processing and manufacturing industry with a total capital of approximately $ 909 million, accounting for 72.4% of total investment capital. The second largest was the wholesale and retail sector with a total investment of $ 90 million and real estate sales ranked third with $ 77.6 million.
