40 Japanese Manufacturing, Processing Enterprises Seek Investment Opportunities in Vietnam

Morning on January 22, Minister of Planning and Investment, Nguyen Chi Dung had met with Vice President JETRO Yasuzuka Irino and the delegation of 40 Japanese enterprises.

 

Investment in Vietnam - Yasuzuka Irino said that the purpose of the delegation's visit is to survey and explore the investment environment in Vietnam in general and investment in the processing and manufacturing industry in Vietnam in particular.

The visit is the realization of the Agreement signed by both sides on investment promotion between the two countries.

The Minister Dung said that "Vietnam is one of the most attractive destinations for international investors, owing to its many important advantages such as: Political stability, favorable geographical location, abundant human resources competing against many countries; The economy has grown steadily with high annual GDP., In order to improve the investment environment, the National Assembly has passed many important laws, especially the Law on supporting small and medium sized enterprises. The Ministry of Planning and Investment is also preparing to submit to the National Assembly the Law on Special Economic Administrative Units.

As to the processing and manufacturing sector, this is one of the six areas of priority for foreign investment in Vietnam, especially Japanese investors.

This is also the one which gets most interested in Japanese enterprises. Many large Japanese corporations have been present in Vietnam with many prestigious products with high competitiveness and high technology content, contributing significantly to replacing imports, boosting exports and promoting growth in Vietnam.
